TODAY'S TECHNOLOGY TIDBIT
FREE SOCIAL NETWORKING TECHNIQUES - Today's Technology Tidbit

This will be my final Technology Tidbit. I am a Recruiter first, and my recruiting business is booming. I no longer have the time to continue the research necessary to find the newest technology nor keep up with the ongoing changes to the established technologies. Honestly, the last three years have been fun and I'm very happy I could share this information with you. I love this stuff and do use it daily in my never ending search for fresh talent. I hope I have provided you with additional tools to use in your ongoing candidate searches.

Tidbit 7, 2011, Facebook Fan Page

Profiles represent individuals and must be held under an individual name, while Pages allow an organization, business, celebrity, or band to maintain a professional presence on Facebook. You may only create Facebook Fan Pages to represent real organizations of which you are an authorized representative. In addition, Fan Pages are managed by administrators who have personal Facebook profiles. Pages are not separate Facebook accounts and do not have separate login information from your profile. They are merely different entities on Facebook's site, similar to how Groups and Events function. Once you have set up a Fan Page within your profile, you may add other administrators to help you manage this page. People who choose to connect to your Fan Page won't be able to see that you are the page administrator, nor will they have any access to your personal account. Personal accounts are optimized for individuals, not businesses. Facebook Fan Pages allow businesses to showcase their work and interact with fans. These pages come pre-installed with custom features designed for each category/type of business. Facebook Fan Pages are not subject to a fan limit and can automatically accept any number of fan requests.
