Every LinkedIn profile automatically has a PUBLIC PROFILE, most are not even aware of this. These public profiles can be found using Google, Bing, Altavista, or Yahoo, but one needs to know how to find it. Very simple!!

Copy the first line from your LinkedIn Advance Search results – title, company, location—go to www.Bing.com, and, using quotations to phrase it exactly, paste the top line into Bing’s search box. We want all results to come from LinkedIn, so we will use Site:Search.

Results from LinkedIn Advanced Search (copy the top line), then paste behind site:linkedin.com

Bing: Site:linkedin.com “Senior Manager, Global Marketing at Coty"

Results:
• Jerome XXXXXX - LinkedIn
Senior Manager, Global Marketing - Calvin Klein… •
Cosmetics • 122 connections
Senior Manager, Global Marketing at Coty Prestige NY ... Current. Senior Manager, Global Marketing - Calvin Klein ...
www.linkedin.com/in/jeromeroux • Cached page

This will work 90% of the time or more.

The most effective way to search MySpace is Site:Search. Again, we will be tapping into the Public Profile. MySpace will not have the candidate information like LinkedIn, but searching for specific titles and companies can surface valuable contacts. Another advantage, an email can be sent to most MySpace members. Membership is required. It is not necessary to add extensive information, just the basics.

Site:Search is a fast and efficient way to use LinkedIn—and most of the other social and business networking sites - because we can sidestep many of the rules and restrictions within these sites by tapping into the Public Profile.

There are three major advantages to searching LinkedIn via Google’s Site:Search.

1)All contacts’ full names are viewable.

2)The three degree rule does not apply.

3)You can easily cut and paste the search string into the other sites.
