People searches can be performed in any of the major search engines: Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask, just to mention a few. Because every search engine indexes information differently, search results will vary from search engine to search engine.

We will search in Google, keeping in mind the same searches can be run in most of the search engines.

Running a candidate search in a search engine will be a far greater challenge than searching a site liked LinkedIn. The results are generally large, often very large, and you will need to learn to scan the information quickly to find the desired, useful information without wasting large amounts of time.

Understand Boolean is critical when building these search strings. Have this information available when building your search strings. Boolean The information we're looking for will be found in resumes or profiles, and will be located in the title section of the results. So the first half of the string will look like this:

(intitle:resume OR intitle:profile OR intitle:cv)

The second half of the search string will be the title, keywords, location, and any other information relevant to the search. Remember a space equals AND.

There are 1350 results for this search, a number way to large to scroll through. Add another keyword, PLC, to narrow the results.
