Spoke is free, but it, too, can be upgraded. Simply click on Upgrade located at the top right of the screen to view available options.Let’s use Spoke to search for a Purchasing Manager for a plastics manufacturer located in Chicago. From Spoke homepage, select Advanced Search located at the top right of the screen. When entering information (referred to as “values”) for a Spoke search, a new pop-up box or drop-down menu appears each time you make a new field selection on the form. For instance, when you click on Target Titles: a box pops up in which, for our sample search, we type Purchasing Manager. Click Done to close the pop-up box and go on to the next value. The METRO AREA differs a bit from the others. Not only are we asked select a metro area in the state we’ve selected, but the following screen appears in which we are asked to define the radius of our search.

The completed search page will look like this.

When you’ve finished entering all of your search values, click SEARCH at the bottom of the screen to view results.

Our search yielded 289 results. We can refine it by entering information in Refine your results located on the left of the screen and clicking on UPDATE SEARCH when finished. If we simply open the first profile, we get information on a Purchasing Manager at Dow Chemical, Melissa. Her phone number and address are available, we can contact her via email (although that address is private), and we have the option to view her coworkers.

At this time, People searches can only be done using major cities, but we can perform a Company search using the identical method.Step by step instructions for finding Companies and other information can be found in Chapter 6 of, USING FREE INTERNET NETWORKS TO FIND LOCAL CANDIDATES,
