Here is an example of searching LinkedIn. The first step is to build a search string. In this example we are looking for a Human Resources Manager using the Site:Search technique. (“human resources manager” OR “hr manager” OR “personnel manager”) Paste this search string into a Google search box to perform a Site:Search. The results will provide you with a comprehensive list of profiles with names(Site-Search results include all names).
Now use the information in the directory to build an email list, using the company email pattern and the Bcc function in your email program. Some companies use two, even three different patterns which is really no problem. Simply use all patterns when building your email list. If you don’t use Site:Search, simply perform an Advanced Search in LinkedIn and use this information with the candidate names you can view. NOTE: There is another shortcut I use called, LinkedIn Name Finder. This technique can be performed in seconds and will supply the names of almost all the contacts in your LinkedIn search results. There are a number of listings pattern, but the phone number is there, so at least that contact can be made. Sometimes an email will not go through. With names like Robert, use both Robert and Bob to increase your chance of connecting. EXAMPLE: robertsmith@Kraft.com and bobsmith@kraft.com.
